ABOUT

The office lounge returns to life after Casey fixes the lights, but he’s not alone. Nick and Tim are there too, and coincidentally up for the same promotion to be announced at the end of the long weekend. The problem? There’s no way out and it’s only Friday. Desperate to free themselves, the men quickly devolve into chaos, turning on each other and themselves as it soon becomes clear that the sanest of the group might be the boss’ pet goldfish. An absurdist blend of corporate carnage and the grief of staying hopeful, Inhuman Resources proves that no matter how hopeless things may seem, we always have a choice.

Liam Armstrong - CASEY

Liam Armstrong is a multidisciplinary Canadian artist. He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he finished as a member of the 2016 - 2017 New York Academy Company as well as St. John’s University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Television and Film. Past credits include: Demetrius, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Brampton’s Own Shakespeare Show); Kurt, Asking for a Friend (Davis Shakespeare Festival); and Actor, The Laramie Project (Wandering Theatre Company). He recently co-wrote and directed Does the Necromancer Have to Report His Minions to the CRA? which premiered at the 2025 Ottawa Fringe Festival.

Andrew Easterling - NICK

Andrew is a recent graduate of UofT: Theatre and Drama studies with Sheridan College. He’s been in ample roles as an actor across the GTA including Don Pedro (Much Ado About Nothing), Bowe (My Boy Jack), and O’Shaunessy (Is He Dead). He has also conducted himself as a fight choreographer and coach for various productions. Andrew is looking forward to applying himself to more stages in Toronto as an actor and fight coordinator in both contemporary, and classical projects.

Michael Manning - TIM

Michael Manning is a Toronto based actor, director, dramaturge, and playwright. He is a graduate of George Brown’s Theatre Arts Performance Program and the University of Toronto where he was a recipient of the Dr. David E. Gardener Apprentice Director Program. Since graduation Michael has been working with fellow GBTS grads Aly MacFarlane and Sophie Oldford (as ‘Bar Team Theatre’) as the writer and director on two original plays (Gin and Sin and A Murder Most Proper), as well as a performer and dramaturge on an adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Michael will also be directing a new adaptation of As You Like It for Bar Team Theatre in December.

Shalon Anwar - AUTOMATED VOICE

Shalon Anwar is incredibly excited to be in one of her first productions since graduating from Randolph College For The Performing Arts over this past summer. You may have seen her in Legally Blonde at Randolph, or in Snoopy’s Tricks and Treats Adventure in Canada’s Wonderland. When she isn’t acting she likes to write poetry and figure out what keys songs are in with her perfect pitch. She would like to thank her friends and family both here and in The United States for always supporting her dreams.

Anna-Maria Maleshev - WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER

Anna-Maria is a Ukrainian-Canadian artist exploring stories in every medium possible. After graduating from UofT’s acting program with a degree in English/ theatre during the pandemic, she co-directed her first play Checking Up On Mrs. Vernon at UC Follies’ Fest. When not directing, she works as a professional actor on TV (Neagley), stage (Twelfth Night, Thaumatrope), and video games (My Little Pony’s Zipp Storm). In addition to writing/ directing, Anna-Maria is a composer and visual artist on this show (and others). She has also published many online stories, comics, and psychological thrillers over the years under various pseudonyms, while this is her playwriting debut.

Elsa McKnight - LIGHTING DESIGNER

Elsa McKnight is a theatre-maker and designer based in St. Catharines. As a recent graduate of Queen’s University, with a BAH in English & Drama, she has explored almost every aspect of theatre from management to design to writing. In her spare time, she loves to write stories usually centered around gnomes. Recent credits include: Lighting Designer, Sound Designer, and Assistant Director (Sharing is Caring), Creator, Co-Director & Co-Lighting Designer (EXPERIMENT 1a), Lighting Designer & cast, Bluebird (The Cape as Red as Blood), all with Of the Sea Productions, which is currently based in Toronto.

Jill Duncan - STAGE MANAGER

Jill is a Toronto-based stage manager who has been behind the scenes of indie productions around the city. She’s been part of the crew on The Rear Window (Bygone Theatre), Mona’s Magic Hour (The Tweetations), In His Time (Toronto Fringe Festival), and The Rocky Horror 50th Anniversary (Massey Hall Corp.), among other projects she manages to stumble onto. When she’s not calling cues, she works as a film critic and educator, blending her love of storytelling both on stage and on screen.

Simon Potopov - ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER

Simon is a co-op student of Slavic origin who began his art career in Canada with Bygone Theatre in May 2025. Since then, he has been involved in his first professional theatre productions, as an assistant stage manager on Talking to Dead Cats (Bygone Theatre) and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo (Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre, Show One production). Back home, Simon was actively engaged in art school activities and attended a local theatre studio to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Since moving to Canada, he has been looking for opportunities in film and theatre—both behind the stage and on stage—to continue his artistic journey.
